A Canadian living in Hellerup, I'm in my mid-40s and have had dogs in my life since I was 12. Over the last two decades, I've taken care of dogs and cats in Canada, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK, including walking, feeding, administering oral medication, grooming, and, of course, snuggling. I'm great at getting dogs to pay attention and love all kinds of pups, from small to large. Whether your dog requires lots of activity or shorter walks and more cuddles, I have lots of practice figuring out what they need and mimicking their standard schedule.

My partner (Tony) and I moved from Canada to Europe over a decade ago, bringing our Shih Tzu/poodle Sofie along for the ride. Sofie passed away about five years ago and the time still isn't quite right to get another dog — but we really miss having a dog in our lives! We used Pawshake to find Sofie sitters in the past and I'm keen to offer other pup parents the same great experiences we had. Tony is also in his 40s and also loves dogs. He's been known to cross the street to say 'hi' to a pup and delights in waving to dogs as they pass. 

Our flat is spacious (and our rental agreement allows pets), with a patio that gets plenty of afternoon sun. I mostly work from home and we have no kids, so it's a calm, well-supervised space. There's plenty of green space nearby, including a dog-friendly cemetary across the street. The beach is less than a 15-minute walk away, several forests are within easy reach, and there are multiple vets nearby. 

I'm highly communicative and love sending people updates and pics of their pets. Jeg lære danske, and having lived in Germany and Switzerland, Ich spreche ein bisschen Deutsch. As a Canadian, je parle aussi français. I teach yoga (mostly the slow kind — perfect for at-home practice with a pup!) and I'm a writer. My partner works in finance.
