Hi everyone, my name is Irene.

I’m 24 years old and I’ve grown up surrounded by animals since I was a child. Although I recently moved to Copenhagen for my Master’s degree and my four cats and tortoise stayed with my parents in Italy, animals have always been a fundamental part of my life and still are.

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Biology and I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Ecology, with a strong interest in animal behaviour and conservation. My academic background has strengthened my understanding of animal welfare, behaviour, and environmental needs.

I have been working as a pet sitter for the past two years, and during this time I’ve had the opportunity to meet many wonderful animals and families. This experience has helped me become adaptable, attentive to different routines, and respectful of each pet’s unique personality and needs.

I have extensive experience with cats of all ages and I’m comfortable administering oral medications when needed. I also have experience with dogs, as I have frequently taken care of the pets of friends, relatives, and clients. I also have experience with shy or anxious pets, and I always take the time to build trust at their pace. I am open to caring for less conventional pets and I’m always willing to learn about their specific routines.

I offer home visits (including longer stays if required), feeding, litter cleaning, playtime, enrichment activities, and long walks for dogs. I always make sure pets feel safe, calm, and well cared for while their owners are away. I provide regular updates and photos for extra peace of mind.

I am available on weekends, and references are available upon request.

I am empathetic, responsible, and patient. Spending time with animals is not just a job for me, it’s something I truly love. I never rush visits or walks and always dedicate proper time and attention to each pet.

I am based in Vesterbro, Copenhagen, and I prefer not to travel too far from the area.

I speak fluent English and I am currently learning Danish.
